Pamela Cretu enthusiastically contributed as a volunteer during the Kosovo Data Governance Academy, lending her support to the core team of experts by diligently recording the in-person academy sessions in Pristina on June 19-20, 2023. Following this, she undertook the task of editing these video recordings to ensure they conformed to the necessary format for online presentation.
Currently a Grade 12 student at the Upper School for Girls within Annie Wright Schools in Tacoma, Seattle, Pamela began her academic journey at the institution during the 2022-2023 academic year. Prior to this, she pursued her studies at Klosterneuburg Bundesgymnasium from 2020 to 2022, and during the 2018-2019 academic year, she attended the Computer Science Mittel Schule in Leobersdordf, Lower Austria. Before her time in Austria, Pamela was a student at Heritage International School in Chisinau, Moldova, during 2017-2018. Her earlier educational experience included studying at Universul High School in Chisinau for grades 1-6.
Pamela has prior experience in volunteering activities and here are a few examples:
Providing support in live-streaming a working session organized during the Global Open Government Partnership Summit in December 2016 in Paris. Pamela ensured that remote participants have access to the discussions and collected questions and reactions;
Assisting during the independent evaluation of the module on personal development and career planning, evaluation conducted by the Open Government Institute in Moldova, during 2018.
Pamela acted as a key note speaker (youth representative from Moldova) during the Internet Governance Forum High Level Session in 2020 entitled "Internet Governance in the Age of Uncertainty". Pamela participated in the 10th Internet Governance Forum in Istanbul, 2014 being the youngest participant the Forum ever registered. In Moldova, she regularly participated in trainings, debate club activities.
Pamela is a native Romanian speaker. She is fluent in English, with intermediate German and Spanish, and basic Russian.
