Tribal Council Meeting Notes closed 5-6pm   Open 6-7pm

Called to order 5pm, Council Roll Call 4 council members, the official meeting # is 4, we had a quarm.  Motion made to accept the Tribal Treasurers report, motion second and passed. Motion made to except Dec Metting Minutes, second, voted and passed. Membership update, after a small or none at all response by community members to update membership paperwork as required by BIA, 125 people are on a list to go to all local tribes to look for dual membership. NAGPRA , Moortown is helping with the Berkley Baskets.

Elections must take place this year, seats for election (Tribal Chairperson, Tribal Secretary, Council Seat 1 and Seat 3)

Tribal Land - motion was made and passed to acquire a lawyer to help with land trust creation.

Motion was made and tabled to purchase a domain and copyright KVBMI.

State Parks MOU, is under negations (free entry, gathering, free camping) Lime Saddle

Tribal Council will be meeting Senator Mike Maguire in March 2026, regarding writing KVBMI into a bill for acknowledgment

Ancestorial Waterways project will start later than expected, look for job opportunities.
