The Koike Laboratory was established in April 2026 at the Research Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Tokyo University of Science. We use human iPS cells and primary cells to develop organoids, three-dimensional tissue models that recapitulate human organs, and apply them as a core platform for our research.
Our laboratory focuses on the hematopoietic system and the autonomic nervous system, with the goal of understanding age-associated functional changes and the molecular mechanisms that drive them. By using organoids as innovative platforms for studying and modulating aging-related processes, we aim to advance research that contributes to the restoration of human tissue function.
