It's Not an Elective, It's an Experience
Welcome to KMHS MUSTANG NJROTC
NJROTC offers the opportunity for high school students to enroll in a leadership/citizenship program coordinated under the umbrella of the Career, Technical and Agricultural Education Division of the Georgia Department of Education. Any three NJROTC courses satisfy the requirements for a career pathway, and the NJROTC curriculum satisfies national and Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) requirements.
Kennesaw Mountain NJROTC is not just a elective, it's an experience. In the Kennesaw Mountain NJROTC you can make friendship bonds that will last your whole high school career, and a lifetime. We are constantly striving to be the best unit within Area 12. Through our marksmanship, drill, drone, academics, and athletics teams, we have went to state championships/nationals every year for the past 20 years. Get the full experience your High School years!

We partner with Superior Flight School to get the full hands on flight experience with their mobile flight simulator and local visits that allows students to log Federal Aviation Administration instrument hours needed toward private pilot license.
Our cadets have travels to various locations for competitions, museum tours, ships tours and other educational experiences on their field trips
Cadets who have passed the FAA Section 107 Drone Pilot Certification Exam are authorized to wear the Drone Pilot Wings on their uniform. Remote Pilot License/ Certificate, A.K.A. Part 107 License/ Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Required Certification for NJROTC Drone Pilot Wings Seek your SNSI/NSI for more information on how to achieve this.
