I gave my comments to elementary school students who showed their projects on animal health.Β
I was invited as a speaker at PEAK, the poultry industry conference and showcase in MN. I not only share my research results but also answer all questions relating with disease outbreaks in poultry farms.Β
I served as an ASM Young Ambassador - Thailand, where I bridged the GAP between ASM USA and Thai students who wish to be future microbiologists. ?π§ͺπ§βπ¬?
I invited Dr. Davida Smyth to be our first speaker and served as the moderator for this conversation. She explained the importance of microbiome studies, and she also truly inspired students. π₯°
One of my most rewarding experiences this year was returning to Thailand to share my passion for microbiology with junior high students. In January 2026, I led a hands-on session focused on the fascinating world of beneficial microbes. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing a studentβs eyes light up when they realize that science isnβt just in a textbook, itβs in the good microbes that keep us healthy and make our food possible
In my classroom, students aren't just listeners; they are problem-solvers. I design my courses around active learning modules where I present a challenge and give students the space to work together. Seeing them collaborate with their peers to define their own goals and find creative solutions is the most rewarding part of my work. Itβs about giving them the tools to navigate the world of science with confidence.
I was fortunate to receive a travel grant to attend the "Microbiome For All" training session, a collaborative initiative that brought together educators from across the United States. This experience allowed me to exchange research insights and master the use of the Oxford Nanopore MinIONβa portable sequencing tool.
My goal is to democratize science by bringing this technology into the classroom, allowing students to identify microbiomes from local samples and engage in real-time, hands-on genomic research.
