Philosophy of Instructional Design

Instructional design research, according to Reigeluth (1999), “aims to improve how people learn and develop” (as cited by Spector, 2000, p. 3).

To be in line with that research, I feel it is important to...

• create content that can be applied in an authentic context by selecting relevant instructional strategies and assessments
• be resourceful in applying theories, models and methods in order to, as per Spector (2000), allow for “the possibility of progress” (p. 3) in achieving learning outcomes;
• develop and implement a plan in a collaborative environment adhering to deadlines that encourages success for all.
