The Kirkinator

Summary

The Kirkinator (created in 2029 in Timeline Alpha) is an android that has the soul of the original Charlie Kirk embeded inside it's false brain. Following Charlie Kirk's death and the paradigm shift, a group of scientists and various technicians were instructed to revive Charlie in secret using robotics. The project started in late 2025 and concluded in mid 2029.

Obviously, the Kirkinator's name is an allustion to the popular Terminator film series. However, the Kirkinator is more in line with Robocop than Terminator. Unlike the two works of fiction, the Kirkinator instead became a maniacal overlord.

When the Kirkinator was revealed to the public on August 8th, 2029 shortly after the project was finished. Millions, if not billions of people saw his first speech or heard about it in passing. Most people were scared or surprised by the superior technology (which was hidden by the government at first), though some more radical fans were praising it. In the years following his creation, the Kirkinator slowly was pushed up the American government by figures such as Elon Musk (who was one of the people to originally order the project) until finally reaching heights his creators never even wanted nor thought of. This lead to him eventually becoming the dictator of the USA and rebranding it in his image. He remains the dictator to this day.

In private, the Kirkinator has internal struggles. These problems are not the same as a human's. Instead, they are literal struggles between his programming and his conciousness. Because Charlie's soul is still in there, it's wants clash with the machine's wants. The machine wants control and dominance, while Charlie himself yearns for being back to actual human life.
