Community Engagement & Outreach
The Kirby Center regularly coordinates events with local communities in order to deliver crucial support and services. Kirby faculty members also partner with local and national institutions in order to create and launch sustainable programs that create pathways for disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to enter the neurobiology field.
Weinberg Walkers Team Fundraises for Research
Every child deserves a chance to grow up happy and healthy. That’s why our team is walking in the Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital on June 14. Boston Children’s is where families turn when answers are hard to find—and where compassion, innovation, and life-changing care come together every single day.
All funds raised will go directly to support research at BCH!

Undergraduate Research Internships at Boston Children's Hospital
Students from Bunker Hill Community College spend a semester in the Kirby Neurobiology Center doing research, receiving expert mentorship, and taking customized workshops to develop scientific and professional skills. Interns earn course credit and a wage while elevating the Center with their perspectives and talents.
The program is generously supported by the Kirby Foundation, the International Brain Research Organization, Bunker Hill Community College, and Boston Children's Hospital.
