Want a book we don't have?
We want to offer books you want to read. We will do our best to order a book you request as long as it is age-appropriate and available for an affordable price.
If we are able to acquire a book you have requested, we will let you know as soon as it arrives via email. The book will be held for you for three days to give you the first chance to read the library's new addition!
Want a book we can't get?
In some cases, due to state law or other factors, we may not be able to offer a certain book or material in our school library.
The Kershaw County Public Library (KCPL) is a great resource and may have a book we don't! KCPL also offers programs throughout the week including crafting activities, role playing games, and book clubs!
Does the library have the book I’m looking for?
Maybe! You can search the library catalog, Destiny, to find out. Just go to ClassLink > Books and eBooks > Destiny LEHS and search by title, author, or topic!
Does the library have a book club I can join?
Yes! The Books and Brunch Novel Club meets once a month to share what everyone’s been reading while enjoying snacks. Want in? Stop by the library or email LEHSlibrary@kcsdschools.net.
I remember high school students coming to read to my class when I was in elementary school. Can I do that now that I'm in high school?
Totally! The Literacy Express Club, which visits local elementary schools about 4 times a year, welcomes new members anytime. Email LEHSlibrary@kcsdschools.net to join. If you’ve participated before, you’ll get an email before each field trip.
Are there scholarship opportunities through the library?
Yes! If you’ve participated in at least 4 Literacy Express events during high school, you can apply for a scholarship. Info will be emailed to eligible seniors in the spring.
