Kimberlea Bass

I see things through the lens of creativity, because the art of life is beautiful.

I am the K-12 Visual Arts Coordinator and educator at Southwest Christian School in Fort Worth, TX. I have been a professional artist for over 25 years, I am a professional photographer and owner of KKB Photography. My photographs and artwork have been featured in city hall, an airport, magazines, and galleries from Texas to New York. In 2014, I was honored to be named Intern of the Year by the Texas Alternative Certification Association. I was selected from applicants nation wide to be a member of The School of the Art Leaders for the National Art Education Association in 2018. I lead SCS Eagle Artists are annually to the Visual Arts Scholastic Event contest. My students have earned nearly 300 gold regional metals and had over 40 artists advance to the state level at this competition. I will continue to advocate for the arts by speaking and teaching at state art conventions. I hold a BFA in Studio Art from Southern Methodist University with training in Art History, painting, photography, drawing, ceramics and sculpture. I am currently working towards my MFA at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
