Overview

Kidvisor is a mobile application for parents that allows them to better understand, monitor, and manage their children’s exposure to potentially harmful online content. The platform combines parental tools, AI awareness tools, educational resources, and guided learning experiences to help parents support their children’s online safety and digital literacy.

The goal of Kidvisor is not simply to monitor children’s activity, but to help parents better understand the digital environments their children are growing up in and provide them with the tools needed to guide them through an increasingly AI-driven world.

How the Design Addresses the Problem

Kidvisor addresses the AI literacy gap identified through our research. We found that many parents lack the knowledge, confidence, and tools needed to guide their children through an increasingly AI-driven digital world.

A key goal is to balance monitoring with independence. Rather than focusing solely on content restriction, Kidvisor emphasizes awareness, education, and digital literacy. The platform helps parents understand what their children are encountering online, identify potentially harmful content, and support healthy technology habits through informed conversations and guided learning.
