Fresh and rested (more or less), our guests from Turkey, Norway and Romania came to the school at 10.00 am which was followed by handing out accreditations. Our guests listened to a short introductory program in which the pupils from our school presented fashion creations that they made out of used plastic material. After the interesting fashion show, the pupils got to know each other better through a game. Each country from the Project has also presented the work of their schools as well as their former work for the Project, and discussed about the problem of plastic pollution and the importance of it for all of us with our guest from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Lily Solomon. Feeling joyful and full of optimism we went to lunch. After lunch, together with our headmistress Jadranka Sabljak we went to visit the mayor of our village, Zoran Kontak. Our guests especially liked the tour of Popovac where they saw the landmarks of our small but beautiful place. Full of impressions, our guests went back to the pupils hosting them. We need to sleep well and rest enough for tomorrow's various interesting activities!

Our day started with creative workshops. The pupils were making kites and painting bags. It was a great opportunity for everyone to show how incredibly creative they can be. Successful workshops were followed by sports games in the school sports hall so we could all stretch, warm-up and get ready for new adventures. We had lunch, after which we headed to the nearby hill where we enjoyed the magnificent view of our municipality. That was an ideal moment for flying the kites in vastness of the sky. Next, we headed to Karašica creek where we took a sample of water to examine. As we returned to the school, the next cycle of workshops started. We can proudly say that all pupils gladly participated, learned a lot and had fun in every activity and workshop. By hanging out together we exchanged experiences and ideas. Coordinators of the Project discussed about activities for the next mobility because it is very important to successfully organize and make plans on time.

Thursday! A great day for excursion! Our guests and hosts headed to Kopački rit Nature park in the morning. The territory of Kopački rit Nature park is situated on the far north-eastern part of the Croatian republic, it is the part of the wider geographic area of eastern Croatia. It is the flatland of geographic entirety called Baranja in Osijek-Baranja County, mostly lowland area between rivers Drava and Dunav and the state border with the Republic of Hungary. Because of a great biodiversity, Kopački rit Nature park has been listed on the List of wetland and humid areas of international significance in 1993. It is the habitat of many plant and animal species (molluscs, insects, birds, reptiles, fish, mammals and amphibians). After visiting Kopački rit Nature park spacious flatlands brought us to the center of Osijek-Baranja County - Osijek, the beautiful city by the river Drava. Mr. Dragan Vulin and Ms. Sandra Filipovic from the Osijek-Baranja County gave us a warm welcome and wished for a pleasant stay for our guests. During sightseeing, we talked about the rich history and landmarks of Osijek, which left our guests breathless. Then we did a quiet protest, the purpose of which was to warn others how harmful it is to use plastic bags. We went from Osijek to Beli Manastir - a town in Baranja that hosts the "Plastic horizont" exhibition. The photographs of pupils, participants of the Project, that show the problem of plastic pollution are displayed in the premises of the Center for culture. We came back to Popovac in the evening, had dinner, played quiz, danced and went to bed.

We headed to Zagreb - the capital of Croatia, in early morning hours. We were all very excited to visit Croatia's capital that has more than a million inhabitants. The trip didn't last long because we spent a lot of time hanging out, chatting, and talking about all the impressions we had from previous activities. Our guests told us how they can't wait to explore Zagreb - they know it's the capital of Croatia and that it's famous for having the prettiest advent in the Europe. After lunch we met with the activists of Greenpeace association whose purpose is protection and preservation of the environment as well as promoting peace. Afterwards, we visited the Museum of Illusions where we enjoyed looking at the biggest collection of holograms in this part of Europe, optical illusions and every installation. It is hard to sum up all the impressions and decide what we liked the best: illusion of the hollowed face, the table of clones or the reversed room. Of course, we had some free time to walk through the town, freshen up and buy some souvenirs. Satisfied with what we saw, we headed back to Popovac. We arrived around midnight, slightly tired, but excited and amazed by the beauty of Zagreb.

We started with the morning activities pretty actively. We planted our trees of friendship to remind us of a wonderful time spent with our guests. The pupils talked about their impressions and what they liked the most. We also talked about the moments and memories we will remember. Then started a workshop in which we examined the water samples. We are all aware of the problems of water pollution, so we suggested methods to solve that ecological problem. Next, we had a discussion about what we learned during these days and what we should do next to raise the awareness of the global problem of plastic pollution. A meeting was organized in the afternoon to discuss and arrange the details of the next mobility in September in Romania. The certificates were handed out to the participants of the Project, after which we went to dinner to families. After the farewell party in the school, we went to sleep.
