Project Type: Contract Curriculum Development
Scope: Term 1 curriculum planning, instructional materials, and assessment development
I was engaged to develop a comprehensive set of instructional materials for Term 1, supporting consistent curriculum delivery across a grade-level teaching team.
The project involved translating curriculum requirements into a structured scope and sequence, weekly lesson plans, assessments, and classroom resources. Materials needed to be practical for teachers, accessible to students, and aligned with the intended learning outcomes.
I used backward design principles to align learning objectives, instructional activities, and assessments. The curriculum was organized to support progressive skill development throughout the term.
Key deliverables included:
Scope & Sequence: Curriculum mapping, learning objectives, and instructional pacing.
Lesson Development: Weekly plans, presentations, and classroom activities.
Assessment Design: Quizzes, examinations, review materials, and marking resources.
Learning Resources: Worksheets, homework assignments, and differentiated activities.
Teacher Enablement: Shared instructional materials and guidance designed for consistent delivery across classrooms.
I collaborated with the teaching team through weekly planning discussions, gathering feedback on instructional resources and identifying opportunities for improvement.Â
Materials were refined based on teacher feedback and classroom application to improve clarity, usability, and alignment with student needs.
The project resulted in a coordinated collection of Term 1 curriculum and assessment materials designed to support instructional consistency, reduce duplicated planning efforts, and provide teachers with ready-to-use resources.
The work demonstrates my approach to curriculum development as a complete instructional system, connecting planning, content development, assessment, and instructor support.
