System Development Methodology
In this lesson, we will look into enterprise system development methodology. We'll begin by exploring Agile methodology, a flexible and iterative approach that prioritizes collaboration, customer feedback, and continuous improvement. Building on this foundation, we will then dive into Scrum, a popular Agile framework, detailing its roles, artifacts, and ceremonies, and explaining how teams use short "sprints" to deliver incremental value. Finally, we'll examine SAP Activate, a specialized methodology designed for implementing SAP's enterprise solutions. We'll discuss how Activate combines Agile principles with predefined content and best practices to streamline SAP project delivery. By the end of this lesson, you will understand the core concepts behind modern enterprise system development, equipping you with insights into efficient project management and successful software deployment in complex business environments.
Agile Software Development methodology is a software development approach that is used to design a disciplined software management process. Using Agile, the development team is allowed to do frequent modifications in the development project. Agile Development is used to minimize risk by developing software in short time boxes which are called iterations. The advantage of agile is that it improves customer satisfaction through continuous delivery of the software progress. Another advantage is the interaction between customers, developers and testers that highlights the requirements. Agile methodology also has an adaptive approach that is able to respond to the changing requirements of the clients.
