At the last committee meeting held on September 16, it was agreed that we need to recruit new members; therefore, we need to be represented at future KFRS Retirement Seminars. Terry Ling has volunteered to take this responsibility. Arrangements have been agreed with the Human Resources (HR) department, and the first talk will be given on 6 November.

In September crew members from Maidstone, Chatham, Dartford, and Westerham flew to the United States to take part in the memorial challenge which commemorated the twenty-fifth anniversary of the 09/11 bombing. Clothed in full working kit, they climbed 110 floors, each carrying a photo of one of the 343 firefighters who lost their lives. The challenge was carried out at a temperature of 37°C and humidity of 78%.
