Presented here are three diagrams which each provide an overview of subject matter pertaining to one of three key sustainablity themes. The diagrams were developed with the purpose of providing an bird's eye perspective on these themes for student teachers in secondary science education, but may serve a broader purpose. The themes are:
The themes are a selection adopted from Issues and trends in education for sustainable development (UNESCO, 2018). Notably, the theme Poverty has not been worked out yet.
The diagrams are accompanied by questions (and some sources) which can be used to gain an understanding of the concepts in the diagrams. A Dutch companion site is here. The Dutch version provides more sources and answers tot the aforementioned questions.
