UP TO $2500 SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY (x 2)
In an effort to encourage students to be involved in extracurricular activities, the Kewaskum High School Booster Club is now offering two scholarships in the amount of up to $2500 each to two qualified students who have been involved in at least one extracurricular activity each year attended at Kewaskum High School.
Each scholarship is earned by an adult sponsor(s) who provide a minimum of 80 service hours during the course of the student’s attendance in high school. (This amounts to about 20 hours per high school year.) You may start accruing hours when the student is in 7th grade.
A qualifying student will have one nomination for 80 service hours sponsored and one additional nomination for every 20 service hours sponsored thereafter. All qualifying student nominations are combined and two scholarship recipients and one runner up are picked at random at the April Booster Club meeting. E-mail kewaskumbooster@gmail.com for more information.
HOW DO YOU EARN SERVICE HOURS?
WORK AT THE OUTDOOR CONCESSION STAND The money raised from the concessions provided at the high school home football games, soccer games, and track meets enables the Booster Club to provide up to two $2500 scholarships as well as funds for KHS extracurricular activities. There are MANY opportunities to volunteer and earn the hours needed to qualify for the scholarship.
ATTEND A MEETING One volunteer service hour is given for each meeting attended, with 9 meeting dates per year. Booster Club meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the KHS Library. Meetings are NOT held during the months of December, June, and July.
