Toaster Girl
Toaster Girl
Toaster Girl is a game I initially designed as a solo developer during a Game Design Focus Track/Elective. In my Game Design Minor I revised the idea or a concept pitch and became product owner for the project, pushing the game design into a new vision and directing the team into this shared vision.
Together with a team of 30-ish people we created this game within the span of half a year of development. Additionally I have created the ambiance, level sound effects and the main theme for the level during this project.
Toaster Girl is a 2.5D platformer game in which you take the role of a girl with a toaster for a head. She traverses a new world by jumping and shooting toast from her head, in which its habitants all have attributes of different animals and objects corresponding to their previous life.

Internship Prototypes
For my internship I worked for the XR Lab at the Hanzehogeschool university of applied science. The company focuses on immersive experiences through VR, MR and AR. They help companies in advising about these experiences and products to make sure that they can effectively use these technologies to their advantage.
In collaboration with Visio, a company that focuses on education and support for visually impaired people, I have created some very rough prototypes that aim to use haptic feedback and 3D spatial audio in order to create playable experiences for the visually impaired. Haptic feedback and 3D audio are good tools to help visually impaired users navigate through games in ways most traditional media can't.

Draw!
A group project, in which I worked together with a team of 6 people, to create a 2D accessible fighting game. The aim for the game was to create a less complicated version of a fighting game by minimizing the amount of button inputs and combos, while focusing on keeping the main gameplay elements of spacing yourself strategically and using mind games to gain the upper hand on your opponent.
I designed the audio for this game, as well as composing the soundtracks for this game's different stages and main menu. The game's setting was centred around Japan and so I tried to respectfully create
During this project I mostly dabbled in sound design, learning how to make music for the first time using FL studio. Check out the soundtrack here
VR Garden Workshop
The VR Garden Workshop is a proof-of-concept created for the Buitenschool Glimmen. The client wanted an interactive experience that would go alongside their on-site gardening workshop. In this game you can plant and grow your own plants in Virtual Reality and provide these sustainable plants to the kitchen.
I created the SFX and Ambiance for this game, textured the hand models and created the bag models and some UI elements.
