I grew up in NYC as a first generation Dominican American. At home we spoke spanish so my reading and speech was slow to develop. My struggles as a student continued until my high school years where I excelled in academics and sports. I didn't always fit in but I embraced the fact I was different. Through my struggles I learned I could achieve anything with hard work and dedication. I played baseball growing up. Baseball taught me patience and discipline. In 2019 I finished my second degree in fitness development from SUNY Cortland. I am the first college graduate in my family and hope to continue to inspire those around me. I will continue to learn so I can be the best version of myself each and everyday.
