Welcome to my homepage! I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics  at IIT Kanpur. 

I have received my PhD. from  Institute of Mathematical Sciences (HBNI)  under the supervision of  Professor V. S. Sunder. 

Broadly speaking, I work with topics in C*-algebras and von Neumann algebras. More precisely, my work involves  Jones'  theory of subfactors and planar algebras.

I study subfactors and planar algebras -- structures that encode symmetries arising in quantum physics and low-dimensional topology -- primarily within the framework of C*-algebras and von Neumann algebras. A central theme of my work is understanding how these symmetries can be classified, constructed, and used to reveal deeper algebraic and analytic structure. ]]
