Welcome to my homepage! I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at IIT Kanpur.
I have received my PhD. from Institute of Mathematical Sciences (HBNI) under the supervision of Professor V. S. Sunder.
Broadly speaking, I work with topics in C*-algebras and von Neumann algebras. More precisely, my work involves Jones' theory of subfactors and planar algebras. My research is supported by Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (ANRF), Govt of India.
[Based in India throughout my academic career, I have developed an independent research program in operator algebras, subfactor theory and quantum symmetry, with a particular emphasis on understanding the structure and relative position of subalgebras through geometric, algebraic and analytic invariants. My work has evolved from questions on angles and intermediate subalgebras to Pimsner–Popa bases, entropy, C*-inclusions and quantum symmetries, reflecting a continuing interest in finding deeper structures behind concrete operator-algebraic phenomena.]
