A little about me:
I trained as a traditional animator, worked as a computer games artist, accidentally fell into teaching before discovering I loved it (A-level Graphic Design, BA Media, L3 Computer Games) intermingled with freelance gigs for Microsoft, Google, Sharp, Steljes and more. And, when asked, a speaker on education, art and Gen Z/Gen A matters.
More about me here.
Primarily, but not always, ink. You can always find me with a Moleskine pad on me and three of four fountain pens.
I LOVE mobile devices (phones and tablets) but there's a good mix of 2D, 3D and more to be found here...
Using phones and tablets to their maximum capability I use whichever device I have on me to create art... and also to take/edit photos and edit videos.
I've spoken at a huge number of venues - sometimes as teacher, sometimes as artist. Sometimes I'm there to draw speaker notes, all aspects equally fun!
I often describe life drawing as the acid test of art - I certainly find it the hardest thing to get right and practice as often as I can on a range of media and devices.
I've been a teacher for 21 years now (as of 2024) and a youth worker for ten years before that. Here are some of the highlights (coming soon).
This site is a work in progress - there's still a few things I need to tweak and fill in...
