Koori-machi, Japan

Koori-Machi, Japan and Elizabethtown, Kentucky have been twinned officially since May 15, 1992. In addition to mutual visits, the sister cities have supported one another during times of crisis. Following an earthquake in March 2011, Elizabethtown contributed $15,000 to assist with Koori-Machi's recovery efforts.
