This ePortfolio showed how much I have learned throughout my education being a Health Systems Management major and it has shown me what I look forward to as a future leader in the healthcare system. Growing up I always knew I wanted to work in the healthcare field without being a physician, and I believe throughout my experience thus far I have been surrounded by many people who have the same goal as I do which has also helped me become more aware of how much interest I have in this field.
When people look at my portfolio I want them to see how my communication has improved. At first, I felt that I was antisocial or felt awkward communicating with new people but while being in college and working with others it has helped me improve my skills.
I feel that my portfolio shows how much I have worked with people and have been shown ways to communicate with everyone and get a better understanding of how to be a leader. Especially being self-employed and having to work with people from different cultures and age groups.
While working on this project I had a hard time finding artifacts that would fit this category, as I have not been involved in many things on and off campus. I do believe the artifacts I did include the ways I communicate and show how much I care for people and help them with their needs. Helping people has always brought me joy in my life so learning how to help people in the healthcare field is something I am looking forward to and seeing an improvement in the system.
