As a pre-service teacher, I believe that Kinderstation is an ideal school for learners who want to discover, develop, or master their academic and non-academic potential. The school has a strong academic support system for both students and faculty and staff. Students learn in a conducive learning environment equipped with technologies such as AC, overhead projector, strong internet connection, iPads or tablets, and other learning materials. The school also has libraries to aid student learning and science laboratories to strengthen their scientific knowledge and skills.
For the teachers, the school provides laptops, printers, and access to internet connection. They also conduct training and seminars to further advance their professional growth, enhance their English communication skills, and update themselves with the latest trends in education. It is also important to note that the cooperation of parents and other stakeholders made all these things possible. The connection and willingness of the parents to support the learning of their students allow the school to perform its duties effectively and achieve its mission and vision.
Above all, the religious and spiritual foundation is the greatest academic support system of Kinderstation. It caters to students of different religions and beliefs, such as Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Sikhs, and others. With this, the school can craft policies and make decisions based on what is right or what the students deserve, and that is quality education.
Based on my observation, the teaching system of Kinderstation is anchored in multiple philosophies of education. In Kindergarten (Caterpillar and Butterfly Class), teachers employ team teaching where there are two teachers in one class. They have a rotational setup, where one teacher will be the lead teacher, and the other will be the assistant. They will switch roles after a week. Kindergarten students construct their knowledge with the help of the teachers through performing various hands-on activities. They emphasized the independence of students; for example, students wash their hands, arrange the chairs, clean their toys, turn the lights off/on, and even open their snacks or tumblers on their own. Through this, students can learn basic life skills without the assistance of other people.
In primary grades, I attended classes in Grade 5 and Grade 6 under the guidance of active and passionate primary teachers. They used different teaching strategies such as the utilization of technology, audio and video presentations, and interactive activities. This type of classroom uses a student-centered approach where student engage and involve themselves in their learning. The holistic development of the students, such as their behavior and how they socialize with other students, is also taken into account. The teachers always serve as role models, and they emphasize and remind all the students to be kind, courteous, and generous at all times.
In Junior and Senior High School, teachers employ a student-centered teaching method because of the diversity of learners from their different backgrounds, religious beliefs, interests, and learning styles. Hands-on activities are applied to develop the mastery of the lesson of the students.
The Kinderstation School is an international private institution delivering quality education to all learners from Kindergarten to Senior High School.
For Kindergarten, the materials include but are not limited to the pupil's book, which contains their lessons and a separate booklet for the activities. Other books found on shelves were also present, which allowed students to read and explore their imagination during their free time. Toys such as Legos, building blocks, and other interactive materials were also available for students to play with and engage in collaborative learning with their classmates. Teachers also used audio-visual aids in teaching their students.
For the primary level, pupil's books and pupil's activity books were also given to the students, emphasizing the significance of mastering lessons. Audio-visual materials were also utilized to aid the teaching and learning experience of teachers and students, respectively.
In the case of Junior and Senior High School, electronic modules and worksheets were given to them to access before or during the discussion, ensuring they have the necessary resources to support their learning.

Kinderstation School is an English-speaking and internationally oriented school that offers education in pre-school, kindergarten, primary, junior high school, and senior high school.
In Kindergarten, it uses a combination of the International Early Years Curriculum (EYC) from the United Kingdom and a special curriculum to develop the future of the students.
In Primary, it utilizes a combination of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) from the United Kingdom and the National Curriculum.
Junior High School employs a combination of the International Middle Year Curriculum (IMYC) from the United Kingdom and the National Curriculum.
In Senior High School, it implements both international and national curricula by prioritizing student readiness to take the ACT Test - Global Assessment Certificate (GAC) to access the world's top tertiary levels.
The Kinderstation School provided me with the opportunity to observe and join classes from Kindergarten to Senior High School. The teaching plan used by the teachers depends on the grade level and the curriculum to which the subject belongs. Below is a sample teaching plan written in Bahasa Indonesia for Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam & Sosial (Science and Social Studies) for Grade 5, which is part of the National Curriculum. The other sample is written in English and is used for Grade 8 in Junior High School. For Senior High School, the lesson plan is usually written in Bahasa Indonesia, but my cooperating teacher provided me with an English copy.
