Starting my junior year of college, I have been constantly been trying to grow in my learning through conferences. Prior to my EDU classes junior year, I did the bare minimum to get my A or B, I just wanted to get by with average grades. I did not care about growing as a student. The class that changed my mindset in the classroom was my first instructional technology class. I started seeing how EdTech can positively influence student achievement and the opportunities it can give students and educators. There was a healthy struggle with technology integration, I wanted to create more and figure out new tech. I was able to attend my first EdTech conference with my Instructional Technology professor, Dr. Cullen my junior year of college. It was a #GoogleSummit and I fell in love conferences and learning from others. I was able to attend this conference with the expectation that I present what I learned with my peers and teachers at the University of Oklahoma. I was absolutely terrified that I was going to bomb the presentation and everyone was going to think I sucked. The presentation went well for my first ever presentation and it catalyzed my joy for sharing and connecting with educators about the joy of EdTech. My professor has always been the voice inside my head saying that "I can do this", and she has always pushed me to share my learning with others.
