Featured MBA Alumnus – Heriot-Watt University (2011)

In 2011, I had the immense honor of being featured as an MBA alumnus by Heriot-Watt University's Edinburgh Business School. This recognition was particularly special because it celebrated not just my academic achievements but also my growth within the field of business. Among my proudest accomplishments during the program was earning a Grade A in Finance, which is considered one of the most challenging subjects in the curriculum. The acknowledgment from such a prestigious institution remains one of the highlights of my academic career and has fueled my passion for continuous learning and development.

Featured in the University of Adelaide’s 150th Anniversary “Our Stories” Project (2024)

In 2024, I was humbled to be featured in the University of Adelaide's “Our Stories” project, launched to celebrate the University's 150th anniversary. This project recognizes the diverse and inspiring journeys of the University's alumni, and I am deeply honored to have been a part of it. Being able to share my story alongside so many distinguished individuals was a moment of great pride, not only for my own accomplishments but also for the incredible community that the University of Adelaide fosters.

Awarded First Prize in Recycling Competition – Confucian Private Secondary School (2006)

Innovation and leadership are values I’ve always aimed to live by. In 2006, I was awarded First Prize in the Recycling Competition at Confucian Private Secondary School. The Certificate of Distinction recognized my efforts in fostering sustainable practices through creative ideas and leadership. This early recognition not only sparked my passion for environmental stewardship but also showed me the impact one individual can have on their community when they commit to making a difference.

Certificate of Appreciation for Excellence – Project Management Institute (PMI) (2025)

In 2025, I received the Certificate of Appreciation for Excellence from the Project Management Institute (PMI), an honor I hold close to my heart. This award recognized my volunteer contributions to PMI and my commitment to advancing the project management profession. Volunteering with PMI has been a deeply rewarding experience, and I’m proud to have played a part in shaping the future of the field alongside many talented professionals.

Learning Surprise Award – Foon Yew High School (2016)

Active engagement in learning is a principle I’ve always embraced, and in 2016, I was fortunate to receive the “Learning Surprise Award” from Principal Tee Bee Tin during the Foon Yew High School Counselling Seminar. This recognition was awarded for my enthusiasm, participation, and eagerness to grow intellectually. It was a proud moment that reinforced my belief in lifelong learning and my commitment to fostering a positive, proactive approach to education.

Recognized for Excellence in Teaching – Coventry House International (Canada)

Having completed the Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL) Certificate course with high standards, I was honored to receive a letter of reference from Coventry House International in recognition of my dedication and professionalism. This certificate marked a significant milestone in my journey as an educator and allowed me to better equip myself to help young learners engage with the English language in meaningful ways.

Perfect Attendance Recognitions – Foon Yew High School (2015–2018)

Maintaining consistency and discipline in all areas of life has always been a priority for me. Between 2015 and 2018, I received perfect attendance certificates from Foon Yew High School, an achievement I take great pride in. These recognitions symbolize my commitment to my education and the importance I place on every opportunity to learn and grow.

Volunteer Award – CareerVillage (2025)

In 2025, I received the prestigious Volunteer Award badge from CareerVillage for posting the most advice during the 2025 Giving Season Volunteer Challenge. Giving back to the community has always been a core value of mine, and this award is a reminder of how valuable shared knowledge and mentorship can be in shaping the future of others.

Multiple Recognition Badges – IBM SkillsBuild

Through IBM SkillsBuild, I earned several important recognition badges that reflect my growth as a mentor and leader. These included badges in “Foundations in Effective Mentoring” and “Project Management Fundamentals,” each demonstrating my proficiency in skills such as leadership, problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration. These skills continue to shape my professional journey and contribute to my ability to mentor and lead with integrity and efficiency.

Pin Badge – University of Adelaide

In recognition of my outstanding performance in the CPA Australia Inter-University Quiz Competition in 2001, I was awarded a Pin Badge by the University of Adelaide. This early recognition from such a prestigious institution not only marked a proud moment in my academic career but also solidified my commitment to excellence in all endeavors.

Recognition for Contributions to International Student Orientation – University of Adelaide

The University of Adelaide also recognized my efforts in supporting new international students, presenting me with a certificate for my contributions to the orientation program. Being able to help incoming students transition smoothly into their university life was an incredibly fulfilling experience, and this recognition serves as a reminder of the power of community and support.

Microsoft Innovative Educator and LinkedIn Recognition

In 2022, I was proud to be recognized as a Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator, joining a global community of educators committed to driving change in teaching and learning through technology. Additionally, in 2024, I was recognized as a Top Teaching Voice on LinkedIn, placing me in the top 1% of contributors to educational content. These recognitions speak to my ongoing dedication to fostering innovation in education and empowering others to achieve their fullest potential.
