Kelvin Wong’s Top 10 Academic Achievements:

Scholarship & Admission: I was honored to be awarded a prestigious scholarship for my undergraduate studies, which paved the way for my admission to the University of Adelaide, one of Australia's leading universities and a member of the renowned Group of Eight (Go8). The Go8 is considered Australia’s equivalent to the Ivy League in the United States, comprising the country’s top universities, known for their high academic standards, cutting-edge research, and exceptional global reputation.

2. Accelerated Graduation: Graduated with a full university degree within the shortest possible time, in two and a half years, by taking an overload of courses for four consecutive semesters; and attended graduation ceremony in eight months ahead of time. Note: A normal full year workload is 24 units (points), but I studied overload, I took a total of 28 units in semester 2 & 3 and a total of 32 units in semester 4 & 5. In this way, I graduated earlier by studying for five semesters only (I did not take any summer class). During my studies, I have achieved Distinction grade in a number of subject areas including accounting, management, etc.

3. Competition Success: I had the privilege of being awarded runner-up in the CPA Australia Inter-University Quiz Competition, a prestigious event that tested not only academic knowledge but also critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the field of accounting and finance. This achievement was a significant milestone in my academic journey, as it showcased my dedication to excellence in a highly competitive environment. In recognition of my outstanding performance, I was honored to receive a Lapel Pin from the University of Adelaide, a symbol of excellence and achievement. This award reflected not just my personal effort, but also the exceptional education and support I received from the University, which consistently empowers its students to excel in both academic and extracurricular pursuits.

4. TEFL Excellence: Achieved the highest grade (A) in the internationally recognized Bridge-Linguatec Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), a program accredited by the ACCET (a US Department of Education’s recognized agency), reflecting outstanding pedagogical ability, mastery of language-teaching methodologies, and commitment to instructional excellence.

5. Distinction in Specialist Accounting: Achieved Distinction in all subjects of the Diploma in Management Accounting, demonstrating strong proficiency in cost management and strategic decision-making. Also, ranked in the top 5% of 4.3 million participants in the LinkedIn Accounting Skills Assessment (Feb 2023).
