This is an interview of YouTube vlogger Maskit Mati, I asked her various questions about how she got her start, her inspirations and about her production/idea process. I included various sound effects, mostly electronic things such as beeps, keyboard clacks and mouse clicks as YouTubing is involved with electronics such as those. I also planned to include some atmospheric life sounds such as birds tweeting as Maskit is a lifestyle vlogger, and those sounds are part of life, but I only got in a train sound because that sounded the most interesting.
One part where I got especially creative was when I complimented a discussion about uploading videos by recording myself saying “Your video… has been uploaded!” on the Zoom and then uploading it to my phone to filter through a voice changer app, then I inserted that into the edit.
All the sounds (except the intro/outro music) were recorded by myself on a Zoom H5 Recorder and the final edit was assembled on Adobe Audition.
I had to cut down half of the questions due to time, though I guess that was to be expected considering each question was just begging for an anecdote.
Admittedly there are a few audio artifacts here and there, hints of bumps and background noise, I forgot about the possibility of hiring a quiet recording room. I attempted to digitally filter out those artifacts. In turn that may have caused some distortion. I’m still learning Adobe Audition but I tried my best!
