A card game and its components that were created and developed from concept to functional prototype. The premise of the game is intended to be educational, competitive, and (most importantly) fun! In this game players learn about different events that a person in the USA can experience between the ages of 0 and 80; from when bones finish growing to being able to vote to the typical age to make a Nobel Prize winning discovery.
This visuals were designed to be appealing and functional for children with a legible font and fun colors. The bright colors were chosen as they are clear and energizing. In addition the colors play the important role of concealing the answers. The straightforward board and directions were designed to quickly enable and support the gameplay so the main focus is on the information on the cards.
The premise of this game is focused on individual medical, social, and mental events for a typical person living in the USA. Players will need to put the events depicted on their cards in order from youngest to oldest in order to win. When all cards are placed, the board is flipped over to reveal if the player's order is correct.
Additional cards can be created for the original premise or as expansions into other subjects. For example, the subject History could be integrated where players place cards that describe world event in chronological order.
