As educators, we are constantly changing and adapting our lessons, our materials, our methods and everything else between as we see different needs arise within our students. We are experts in flexibility. Technology is rapidly developing and changing the way our society operates. We need to start allowing technology to change the way education operates.
To start making the technology shift in education, I propose the use of blended learning. We live in the Information Age where almost any and all information is accessible twenty-four-seven at the tips of our fingers through technology. Why not take advantage of that accessibility? Check out my full proposal to see more about how to take advantage of that accessibility through blended learning. My literature review will show you evidence of how blended learning increases engagement, personalizes learning, and follows technology trends.
Blended learning is quite different from the traditional classroom. It will be a huge change, especially for the more experienced teachers who have been using a traditional classroom for years. Change needs to be fully detailed and planned before implementing in order to have a chance at success so I have created an outline of how I plan to implement blended learning within my own organization.
While I have done a lot of research and planning about blended learning, I believe in being a life-long learner. I plan on continuing to research throughout my blended learning journey. Check out my annotated bibliography below for a list of books I plan on reading to further my implementation of blended learning.
