A logo representing the metaphor, "Designing Learning is like navigating the ocean."
My ocean-inspired logo symbolizes the depth, complexity, and vast potential of learning - core to my work as an Instructional Designer. I included my initials in the center to reflect my role as the guide, charting purposeful learning pathways through a sea of information. Just as the ocean is expansive and ever changing, the field of instructional design involves navigating diverse learning needs, tools, and strategies.
Elements in my logo and their meaning:
Sun (Circular Shape)
The circular form of the sun represents the continuity and cyclical nature of learning. It evokes the idea that instructional design is an ongoing process. The gradient color, from orange to yellow symbolizes illumination, clarity and the spark of understanding that effective design brings.
Ocean Waves and bubbles
The layered waves and bubbles in shades of blue and teal reflect the depth and complexity of knowledge. They also represent the way the instructional designer can navigate through information and design meaningful learning experiences, much like charting a course through the sea.
Initials, KM, in bold font
My initials are placed in the center of the logo to emphasize my role as the guide and architect of the learner journey. It is my job to bring structure to the vastness of the content.
Sky and Cloud Elements
The soft pink sky and clouds suggest creativity, openness, and inspiration - qualities essential to designing engaging and learner-centered experiences.
