The textures of the planets were changed to be more realistic. For planets were it was possible, a bump map was used for depth perception on the surface of the planet.
To model the actual layout of the planets the starting point of each planet was altered. Each planet's rotation around the sun was changed to approximate a ten year period with the planets' actual speed.
The default lights were switched off so that the only source of light was the point light centered inside of the sun. To make sure the sun could be seen, the ambient color was adjusted.
