I decided to animate a shortened version of the quidditch game from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I clipped the audio from the quidditch scene and used that to determine what scenes should go in what order. The camera follows the Gryffindor Seeker's perspective as they weave through the pitch and try to catch the snitch. The other players, bludgers, and quaffle also move around in the background. The game ends with the seeker catching the snitch and the teammates gathering around to celebrate.
I created the model for the quidditch pitch, hoops, and the surrounding stadium minus the benches. I applied different textures along with bump maps for the sand and the grass along with decorating the stadium with the different flags of the four Hogwarts’s houses.
Most of the items followed a motion path, but for some objects that only moved a couple of times throughout the entire scene, they were manually keyed in.
The main source of light was from a Sky Dome Light which was colored using a photo that doubled as the background for the quidditch pitch. To help emphasize where the sun was in the background, I also added a point light.

Note: I wasn't able to render the video due to my laptop overheating during the process as a result of the cooling fan being broken.
