The TIFR Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics group in the Colaba campus has at various points of times included, amongst others, well-known theorists such as Chanchal Majumdar, Sriram Shastry, Deepak Dhar, Mustansir Barma, Mohit Randeria, Nandini Trivedi, and Satya Majumdar.

At present, other members of the condensed matter and statistical physics group at Colaba  are Shamik Gupta, Tridib Sadhu, Rajdeep Sensarma, and Vikram Tripathi.

At present, the group in the Bengaluru campus (ICTS-TIFR) consists of Subhro Bhattacharjee, Abhishek Dhar, Manas Kulkarni, Anupam Kundu, Sthitadhi Roy, and Chandan Dasgupta. 

At present, the group in the Hyderabad campus (TIFR-H) consists of Mustansir Barma, Darshan Joshi, Smarajit Karmakar, Saroj Nandi, Prasad Perlekar, and Kabir Ramola.
