Estranged Students Solidarity Week 2021
For Estranged Student Solidarity Week, the Society for Care Experienced and Estranged Students hosted a two-day event to celebrate: Information stalls and a Social Event called Tea and Talk!
Festive Dinner 2021
Can you believe the festive season is over? We can’t but we are still trying to carry the magic of the season with us. Our first festive dinner at Wagamama was a success! The food was simply delicious, the service was superb and the company was incredible 😁.
A special thank you to Leeonnie (from KCL's Widening Participation department) for making this magical evening possible.
#changingthenarrative
During ESSW we will also introduce our social media campaign #changingthenarrative, which is aimed at highlighting the ‘whole identity’ of care-experienced and estranged students. Shifting the focus from family situations, care-experienced and estranged students are invited to share their achievements, big or small, with our #changingthenarrative campaign. Many care-experienced and estranged people live successful, fulfilled, and happy lives, and we at KCL CAR.ES want to celebrate this.
