STOP THE BLEED® 也被譽為是「創傷止血的CPR課程」，於2015年由美國政府發起，美國國防部國防健康局（U.S. DoD DHA）以及戰鬥傷患照護研究計畫（CCCRP）實施。STOP THE BLEED® 運用美軍多年實戰所獲得之醫學知識，讓受過訓練的民眾能在緊急服務到達前處置致命大出血，目前美國所有州、領地，及其他114個國家均有開設STOP THE BLEED® 計畫。
STOP THE BLEED®, the "CPR of bleeding", was first launched in 2015 by the White House, and administered by the Defense Health Agency and the Combat Casualty Care Research Program. STOP THE BLEED® utilizes the medical knowledge obtained through years of combat to train people to address life-threatening bleeding before emergency services arrive. Currently, every U.S. state and territory, and 114 countries have active STOP THE BLEED® programs.
STOP THE BLEED 聯盟與美國外科醫學院均有自己的課綱教材，兩者學習目標整體保持一致，包含：
緊急狀況下的個人健康、安全與應變方式
如何辨識致命的創傷大出血
使用直接加壓、填塞止血法、肢體止血帶止血
小兒傷患、常見問題等
Both the STOP THE BLEED Coalition and the American College of Surgeons have their own educational guidelines and materials, with similar main learning objectives, including:
personal safety and health
identifying life-threatening bleeding
direct pressure, wound packing, limb tourniquets
pediatric patients, FAQs ... etc.
美國外科醫學院成立於1913年，為外科醫學專業組織。其創傷委員會經美國國防部授權開發 American College of Surgeons STOP THE BLEED® 課程。
The American College of Surgeons, founded in 1913, is a professional medical association. The ACS Committee on Trauma is licensed by the U.S. DoD to develop the ACS STOP THE BLEED® course.
STOP THE BLEED® 聯盟為響應美國國防部STB 計畫而成立，由各種組織、指導員等組成，為501(c)3非營利慈善機構，推廣STB課程為Coalition之單一目的。
The STOP THE BLEED® Coalition is formed to mandate and support the U.S. DoD STB program. Consisting of both individuals and organizations, the Coalition is a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
