National Dance Day
National Dance Day
Created in 2010 by Nigel Lythgoe, National Dance Day is a holiday that was originally celebrated on the third Saturday of July. This fun-filled day of movement was moved from July to September because of an essential collaboration with the American Heart Association. The day was created to encourage Americans all over the USA to embrace dancing as a way to improve their health and to fight the epidemic of obesity that was ravaging the country.
