Crystal

Founder of KC Dance, Crystal had always shared a love for dance since the age of 3. From home videos with her younger sister and cousin to performing locally as a part of the Southwestern College dance program, she has dance several styles including Latin (most notably Cumbia and Bachata), Jazz, Ballet, and Hip Hop. 

While most of her formal experience resided in Ballet Folkorico during high school, she continued her dance training through Southwestern College. For most of her tenure at the college, she orchestrated and helped the further development of the dance program and as well as actively participating in SWC Dance Club and the semi-annual dance concerts since 2010.

Fun Facts: Loves penguins, dogs, anything Disney, and Baseball (NY Yankees).  

She is ornithophobic (terrified of crows).

Kevin

Co-Founder of KC Dance, Kevin has danced several styles but has been notably rooted in Breaking and Hip Hop. Unlike many of his friends and counterparts, he had started dancing during the later years of high school. 

Afterwards, he continued to expand his dance education through different local studios in San Diego and Los Angeles. From 2011-2014, he actively trained and competed in the San Diego breaking scene along with former crew Affinity Kids/Kings as a second-generation member.

Like Crystal, he also actively participated and contributed in the Southwestern College dance program since 2013. 

Fun Facts: Loves reading and writing, video games, and Baseball (NY Yankees).

He is ophidiophobic (horrified of snakes).
