With a passion for creating colorful characters and wonderful worlds, I'm a writer that loves to put the pen to the page and share all of the stories residing inside my head.
I prefer to use my tag, Kazuyumi, as my pseudonym. Currently, I'm trying to put my degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Wellness to use, though I'd love to pursue my passion of writing as well.
I absolutely love creating characters and seeing where and how they'd fit into their respective worlds, drawing quite a bit of inspiration from not only other media sources (such as books, video games, and anime), but also from people I've encountered in real life. I find that also drawing inspiration from my own experiences and traits helps me create more realistic characters and become much more emotionally invested in them.
Admittedly, I'm rather new to promoting myself in the writing realm, but nevertheless, I look forward to meeting other writers and getting to know them!
I always love to play around with what I write, but I usually like to stick with a small range of genres and themes and refine my expertise with them.
I prefer to stick with genres like mysteries and slice-of-life stories, writing around the New Adult/NA age range, though certain stories may deviate to Young Adult/YA or Adult due to their content. The Adult ones are labeled as such due to containing dark subject matters, such as xenophobia and disturbing imagery, the latter of which includes varying degrees of body horror. Nonetheless, I stay in the realm of fiction with all of my stories.
A major running theme in pretty much all of my stories is blending in some sort of fantastical element. Ranging from being a small supplement to a story's world or being a major part of the story itself, I always find adding a bit of fantasy to my stories to be very captivating. In addition to this, I like to put an emphasis on the story's characters and their personal development as a large part of the story.
A few other themes that you can find in my stories include the following:
Found family
Sexuality and Gender Identity/LGBTQ+
Self-love and Self-acceptance
Finding your true self
Discussing social norms & Combating toxic norms
