Hello, World!
Welcome to the homepage of the Quantum Electronic Structure Theory (QuEST) Group at NIT Meghalaya, located in the northeastern corner of India.
We are a research group working at the interface of molecular physics, quantum chemistry, and materials science. Our research aims to develop high-precision understanding and predictive capabilities for molecular properties, advancing fundamental science while enabling applications in quantum science and technology, spectroscopy, and supramolecular chemistry. A central focus of the QuEST Group is the development of robust relativistic quantum electronic structure methodologies, combined with large-scale numerical simulations, to investigate the electronic structure, spectroscopic properties, and chemical behavior of systems containing heavy elements. We also have a special interest in the physics and chemistry of ultracold molecules.
We have PhD positions available, motivated students (with valid GATE/NET-PhD-only or CSIR-UGC-NET-JRF/INSPIRE Fellowship) interested in theoretical and computational chemistry are highly encouraged to contact us.
