Hello, World!
Welcome to the homepage of the Quantum Electronic Structure Theory (QuEST) group at the NIT Meghalaya, located in the northeastern corner of India. We are a group of researchers working at the interface of molecular physics, quantum chemistry, and materials science. Our research aims to achieve a high-precision understanding and accurate prediction of molecular properties, with a dual focus on advancing fundamental physics and enabling applications in quantum science, spectroscopy, and supramolecular chemistry. A central interest of the QuEST group is the development of robust relativistic quantum electronic structure methodologies, coupled with large-scale numerical simulations, to investigate the electronic structure, spectroscopic properties, and chemical behavior of systems involving heavy elements.
We have PhD positions available, motivated students (with valid GATE/NET/INSPIRE Fellowship) interested in theoretical and computational chemistry are highly encouraged to contact us.
