Writing Commissions

How This Works

1. Contact me (either on discord, Ko-fi, or at legendofkaurra@gmail.com) to request a commission.

2. Based on our availability, we'll schedule a chat (either a call or over text) to determine details of your commission request such as content, budget, deadline, etc. This initial meeting is free, after which I will decide whether to accept the commission. 

3. If accepted, I'll get started on a draft in Google Docs and give you Commenter access. As I work, you are welcome to check in and suggest any changes/updates until the commission is completed to our satisfaction.

4. Upon completion, the Google Doc link will be changed to Viewer access.

5. Payment will be accepted and processed via PayPal or Ko-fi, after which I will send you a PDF and EPUB copy of the commission.

Pricing

The current commission prices (CAD) are as follows.

Base:

• 1.5¢ per word

Additional Fees if applicable:

• $5 per 30min of additional meeting time after the initial conversation

• $5 rush fee for deadlines within 14 days

• $10 rush fee for deadlines within 5 days

• $5 extensive editing fee for edits on a final piece after commission has already been delivered (up to 3 post-completion edits may be free, depending on the nature of the changes)

Terms of Service

General

• Estimated time of completion is 2-4 weeks but may vary, deadlines may be requested

• You retain ownership and rights for any original characters and/or worldbuilding elements present in the commission

• If any of my own characters and/or worldbuilding elements are present, you are not permitted to create or commission work including my content without explicit permission and credit

• Deliverables will be provided in the form of a Google Doc link with Viewer access, along with PDF and EPUB files

• I reserve the right to decline any commission requests with or without explanation

• Any arising complexity or obstacles after the service has begun may result in pricing, deadline, or service changes

Payment

• Prices are listed in CAD

• Payment will be accepted/processed through PayPal or Ko-fi

• Payments are non-refundable

Usage Guidelines

• Unless otherwise requested, I retain the rights to use and post completed commissions online

• You are permitted to post and/or share the commission on your social media with proper credit 

• You are not permitted to edit, recreate, or claim ownership of any provided deliverables

• You may not resell or otherwise profit directly from the provided deliverables

By requesting a commission, you agree that you have read, understood, and will abide by the Terms of Service presented above.
