At KAEF, volunteers are the heart and soul of our mission. As a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit, we couldn’t do this work without our ʻohana of helpers who give their time and aloha to support the animals, the ʻāina, and our community.

Volunteer Work Days are held every third Saturday of the month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Whether you come once or commit on a deeper level, your time makes a lasting difference.

Volunteering provides purpose, builds teamwork and social skills, and gives hands-on experience with animals and native Hawaiian plants. Most importantly, your efforts enrich the lives of both people and animals, while helping our small team accomplish significant work.
