This event helps support our rescued animals and education programs—thank you for being part of our KAEF ʻohana
Founded in 2016, Kaua‘i Animal Education Farm (KAEF) is the island’s only animal rescue farm, providing sanctuary for more than 170 animals across 19 species—each with a story of resilience and aloha.
But KAEF is more than a rescue. Our farm is a living classroom, landscaped with native, medicinal, and edible plants that connect people back to ʻāina and sustainable practices.
Through our programs and partnerships, we empower keiki, families, and the community to learn about animal care, mental health, cultural connection, and holistic well-being. At the heart of our mission is serving those most at risk—offering a safe place for learning, healing, and meaningful connection.
Our Mission is Simple:
Rescue animals in need
Educate through hands-on programs
Inspire compassion, responsibility, and connection to the ʻāina
170+ farm animals rescued and cared for
500+ students and families served each year
Countless volunteer hours building community connections
Every visit, every program, and every donation directly support our ongoing work for Kauaʻi.
Summer Enrichment: Keiki learn about animal care, farming, and cultural values in a fun and supportive environment.
Farm Tours & Visits: Get up close with our animals, hear their rescue stories, and discover the benefits of sustainable living.
Volunteer Opportunities: Whether you’re helping with feeding, farm care, or events, your time makes a big difference.
Animal Grams: Surprise a loved one with a one-of-a-kind animal visit experience.
Your support keeps our mission alive. There are so many ways to kōkua:
Donate to provide food, shelter, and veterinary care.
Volunteer your time and skills on the farm.
Share our story to help spread awareness across Hawaiʻi and beyond.
