I was exploring sound therapy and various types of meditaton for work and that is what got me interested in sound baths. As I was learning more about vibrations, frequencies, and the 7 main energy centers(chakras), I discovered that it was a great technique for me to use when quieting my mind and letting go of the day's tension. I still have a lot to learn and am working with gaining more knowledge about binaural beats and different brain waves. As I learn, I am trying to also make this knowledge accessible to those that can benefit from it.
It has been osbserved that during a sound bath, the brainwave state is altered from normal waking state (beta) to relaxed state (alpha), dreamlike state (theta), and even restorative state (delta). It has also been seen that the mind and body relax, the heart rate and blood pressure decrease and our breathing become deeper.

Potential benefits of sound baths:
Feeling calmer/less stressed
Muscles that feel looser
A greater sense of relaxation
Pain relief
The ability to sleep better
Improved mood
Better body awareness/being more in tune with your body
You may be wondering how often you should engage with sound baths. That absolutely varies by person and their specific needs. For instance, if you're looking to reduce stress and promote relaxation, a monthly sound bath can help you feel more balanced and centered. However, if you're dealing with a particular issue or challenge, such as anxiety or chronic pain, it may be beneficial to do a sound bath more frequently.
