There are many ways to facilitate a sound bath and/or singing bowl session. There are various types of singing bowls between the material they are made of and the frequency of their tuning.
My set is a frosted crystal set and I typically use suede mallets. I will also often use a rubber striker when ringing. The 7 bowls represent the 7 main chakras and they are tuned to 432Hz.
There are many ways to facilitate a sound bath and I have a different approach for both group and one-on-one sessions. In general, there will be minimal light so that you are able to focus on the vibrations. I may modify and change my process as I continue to further my practice, but I am at the beginning of my practice journey and in a very minimalistic stage. This is about letting go and keeping meditation simple.
