I am a student in my last year of studying Fine art at Newcastle University, with an interest in installation, textiles and sculpture. I draw my inspiration from everyday conversations, observations, and small moments that often go unnoticed. I transform the familiar into the uncanny—creating immersive environments that invite a viewer into surreal narratives. Through humour, absurdity, and a playful subversion of the ordinary, I aim to draw people into my world, where the strange becomes strangely relatable.
Through my installations, I strive to create an all encompassing encounter for the viewer, making them laugh, feel uncomfortable or confronted. Textiles play a significant role in bridging the gap between artwork and viewer in my work. Their familiarity and associations with home give my work an approachable, tactile quality, that often invites interaction, even when combined with more bizarre elements. I enjoy a mixed media approach to my work as I often collate several narratives to a build new world, therefore I want to express these in different materials and ways.
