- I graduated from Union City High School in 1999. Go Tigers!!
- I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) in Weatherford in 2005 with a degree in Special Education.
- I started working at Union City Schools in 2005 as a Special Education teacher.
- I have always wanted to be a counselor, so I enrolled in the School Counseling program at Southeastern Oklahoma State University to obtain my Master's in School Counseling and I graduated on May 8, 2021. (With Honors, I'm pretty proud of that) :)
- My husband Donnie and I have been together for 13 years and we share our lives with our 9 cats. Yes, 9! :)
- I enjoy playing video games in my spare time. The Elder Scrolls and the Fallout Series are my favorites.
What I Do:
My mission as school counselor is to create an environment where every student feels safe. I am here to support your student's social, emotional, and academic needs. I provide weekly classroom guidance to grades Pre-K to 8. I am available to consult with students individually, as well as, consult and provide guidance during Leadership. I work closely with teachers, parents, and administration to ensure that Union City is a positive place where all students feel safe, accepted, and ready to learn. I am passionate about supporting all pathways to post-secondary education and work to provide equitable availability to post-secondary resources. I work closely with Canadian Valley Technology Center (CV Tech) and Redlands to ensure that students have access to the most current enrollment requirements and procedures.
