Virtual outreach talk about language use and cognitive decline

March 14, 2021

Today, I had the pleasure of giving an outreach talk about the Vivian White project at Don Heights Unitarian. The project (conducted in collaboration with Sali A. The writer, Vivian White, was diagnosed with dementia at age 84, and later with Alzheimer's Disease. Vivian helped found Don Heights and it was an honor to share our findings with the community that meant so much to her.

The second one was a co-authored talk called "Lifespan change and linguistic innovation: the quotative system as we age" (co-authored with Sali A. Tagliamonte and Alison Chasteen).
