I hold an Advanced University Teaching Preparation Certificate from the University of Toronto. I also completed a professional development course called THE500 Teaching in Higher Education, offered through U of T's Woodsworth College, as well as a doctoral seminar on community-engaged learning, offered through U of T's Centre for Community Partnerships.
Other Teaching Experience
In my former role as Educational Developer, I frequently designed and facilitate workshops, courses, and webinars on all aspects of teaching and learning, with a focus on eLearning, internationalization, and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
From 2013-2015, I taught German at the University at Buffalo. In 2016, I received an Excellence in Teaching Award from UB's Graduate School, which recognizes instructors who have provided their students with instruction of the highest quality.
From 2010-2013, I taught German and English as an Additional Language at Ball State University.

Pedagogical Materials
In my role as an Educational Developer at York University, I have created a variety of open educational resources for the campus community. These include a guide for fostering engagement online (developed individually) as well as three handout series focusing on different aspects of pedagogical practice (developed in collaboration with Andrew Molas and Robert Winkler). The first of these, called "Best in Class" focuses on innovative strategies for in-class instruction. The second one, "Hyflex Toolbox," explores how traditional activities can be adapted for Hyflex delivery. Finally, the third one, "Food for Thought," synthesizes the latest research on current issues in pedagogy.
