For this project we were to research on modern advances with technology to see the massive effects that it has had with society and culture. We were then to present this in a PowerPoint.
Advantages of Telehealth:

Convenience allows for remote consultations, reducing the need for pets to leave their familiar environment, minimizing stress for the owners and pets.
Cost Effectiveness: telehealth costs less than an in person visit, also reduces travel and wait times.
Flexibility: Vets can manage their time more efficiently.

Diagnostic Limitations: May not be suitable for all clinical situtations.
Communication barriers: Challenges in communication between the vet and pet owner, especially in complex cases.
Access to Specialist: Can be limited access in specialist for remote consultations.

For this project I decided to research about Telehealth in the veterinary field. Every day I strive to my goal to apply into the vet program here at CCBC so I was curious to learn more about telehealth visits as this may be a big part of my veterinary career. As this has become a super popular option for vet clinics since the COVID-19 pandemic I wanted to research further into this emerging technology.
